By now you are use to me sturring things up a bit, so this one should not come as much of a serprise to you. Just so you have the right understanding of where I am coming from I am not one of those stupid people who decided when they were 6 years old that religin was crap and has formed his or her opinon about religion when he or she was 6 years old and hasn’t changed it since. Those people are very close-minded and dumb, while I am an enlitened person who challinges and questions everything.
The serch for truth is for many people about getting an education, so that is what I did. It opened my eyes to the truth for sure. My professers told us that religin is created to control people, and how could they be wrong? You can’t argue with experts. My biology professer said so, and so did my philosofy professer, and even my band director. My pre-calc professer was a crazy nut because he believed in god, but most of them knew better. So after that I began to look for proof that there is no god. And guess what? I found it. There is so much proof that it makes religus people into liars or lunatics.
For instance did you know that the bible was actually ritten in 1635 by King James to control his subjects? Before that all christianity was really paginism. Also their most holy day of the year, christmas, is actually a coverup for a pagin holiday, more proof!
Also, all the cities in the bible never existed, which is more proof. And Jesus was created by the church in 500 CE and all the older documents were changed to add him in. That is proof.
After I finished discovering all these truths, I was left feeling kind of empty. I looked inside myself and there I found the real truth. It turns out that the universe is developing a consciousness and will eventually become god. And that is why we are always creating religins, it is like the universe is working out how it willevolve into god.
People are getting smarter as we evolve into the future. I mean just look at 100 years ago. There was no internet, or computers or TV or Airplanes or cars even and that is proof that we are evolving to smarter and better forms. And 1000 years ago people thought that sick people had toxins in them that needed to be bled out. You don’t hear any stupid talk about toxins in blood today! That is proof that we are evolving to a smarter form. In another 1000 years we will be living in a utopia society where everyone lives in harmony and will have sex all the time with everyone. Plus we will be super smart, like Gina Davis times 10.
Hmm, I think – and I have looked deep within myself, as you suggested Enlitened – that you are a grade A moron, to quote Ralph Wiggum.
No, scratch that. You are a fundamental atheist. It goes even deeper than that: you believe what you believe because it is what you *wish* to be the truth. Somewhere, sometime a Christian you looked up to must have let you down, or hurt you – because you seem to harbor all your ill-will toward Christianity. Your arguments against religion all specifically mention Christianity…why is that?
Has it never occurred to you that many of your precious professors were once empty sponges sitting in college classrooms just as you were, soaking up everything *their* professors spewed as if they were the very font of wisdom?
Or perhaps they are bitter, disillusioned ex-Catholics, who in their teen years rebelled against the ‘establishment’ as they saw it, and have never turned back. I wonder if they secretly fear that they are wrong, and bolster their atheism by daily repeating its mantras to their eager students…
My advice would be to quit looking for truth inside yourself; I think your insides are a little confused.
On the funny scale I think I have to give this one a 0, enlitened.
You’re too passionate about this topic; I think you should move on to something else. I’ll leave it stand as is though because the last paragraph redeems it a little.
